Ping! Letterbox… Thwack! Liquidambar…
Matt an’ me were slingshootin’ in the front yard.
There was a shatterin’ of glass and crunchin’ of metal.

We argued over who shot the stone, then never spoke of it again.
Growing up, slingshooting was a fun pastime for Melanie until one day she may or may not have caused someone to receive a serious injury…

Definitely a deadly story. Love the sudden twist and seedy resolution, reminds me of when I used to throw rocks lol.
Amazing short story Mel
Thank you for the wonderful compliment, Addison ๐
Another brilliant, funny, yet dark story Mel! Brings back memories! Looking forward to reading more of these๐
Thanks Megan. I find it can be challenging to confront some memories from my youth…
A really thought – provoking story Mel. To think that was my favourite game๐ An enjoyable read! Good work !
No doubt a favourite game before computers/internet, Michael? Thank you for the encouraging comment ๐
Fantastic story Mel, keep them coming! I have a hunch that it wasn’t Matt who shot the stone…
