Oliver moved to California.
I don’t know when I fell in love with this child I barely knew. He’s the first person to whom I ever freely said “I love you.”
He’s only two. He won’t remember me, but he filled a void in my life I didn’t know existed.

What? I’m clearly missing something as this makes no sense to me at all.
I was this child’s nanny, grew to love him, then his family moved across the country and it is unlikely I’ll ever see him again. I took care of him from ages 1-2 years. He will not remember me, but he had a big impact on my life. I didn’t realize how lonely I was until I met Oliver.
What do you think is missing?
Your words moved me. I knew the story in such few words. Well done, Dana.
