A menacing, mass-murdering, monstrous tyrant ruled ruthlessly over decades of death and destruction.
All fell at the foot of his castle, until the day his throne was finally toppled, not by a hero of legend, army of assault, or fire-breathing dragon, but by the unstoppable force of thoughts and prayers.

Nice use of alliteration. Great ending!
Thanks so much, Ruth!
Great story 👏 👌 👍 🙌 😀
Great story!
I love this! ❤️
Thank you all for your kind words!
I’m fascinated by the ambiguity in your story. In a straightforward reading, it is a story about the power of thoughts and prayers. But it could also have a satirical message (if the last line is read as sarcasm) that invites the reader to question if mere thoughts and prayers really are that powerful. Food for thought…
I enjoyed your comment, very well said! I intended it as satirical, but I enjoy writing fables with a bit of room for ambiguity :)
