Our paths crossed as inevitably they would in a small town. Over coffee we talked, again and again, the bottom of the cups always appearing before the end of our words. Best friends like none we’d ever known before.
Then Cupid spied us, shot a single arrow grazing us both.

My sweetie and I had one date. It went so well we had another–12 years later. In the interim we became fast friends. Then, as Sandra so aptly puts it, Cupid’s single arrow grazed us both. We married a year later and are still together, 45 years later.
Thank you, Sandra, for this lovely keeper of a poem story, The parallels are uncanny.
