The Italian Mouse

“Please, Clarissa,” pleaded Sergio, “don’t leave me! I’ll make you better spaghetti, better pizza, better wine!”

“Always food with you,” said Clarissa wearily. “Always wine… Don’t you understand me? What I really want are children… and pets!”

Sergio bought her a mouse. She kept it, and got rid of him.

Bunnies!

Venus came home to chaos.

“What is going on!?”

“Hi, honey!” said her husband, Chris, standing behind a hutch with their daughter on his shoulders. “Tina and I bought a few bunnies!”

“A ‘few‘?”

“Well, we took two, but by the time we got home there were a bunch more…”

Trouble With the Neighbours

Billy Goat was waiting in the yard when Mrs. Wolf came strolling by with her son in a stroller.

“Good morning,” said Mrs. Wolf.

“Have you seen my squirrel?” said Billy, icily.

“Your little pet?” Something inside the stroller squeaked desperately. “Ah,” said Mrs. Wolf. “Well, boys will be boys!”

Causing a Reaction

There was a complete stranger in the house, and no one else seemed to care. Jill and Bobby even seemed to like the trespassing feline.

So Mitsy began sneezing and sniffling and mewling.

She knew how things worked: they’d never keep the new cat if it was creating allergy problems.
