Our prey hid while hunters flanked it.
I stood exposed. The hunt meant survival for the clan.
The beast emerged bearing a snarl, its dark eyes glaring. My heart raced. Fear grew, choked me, yet I held my ground.
Finally, the hunter’s cry sounded striking it dead.
We feasted well.
