She took a long drive. At a quiet intersection, she stopped briefly at the red light, then accelerated.
The police car behind her turned on its siren.

I’ve written a similar story, but in mine, the driver instigates getting rear-ended. Apparently, we social creatures everywhere are struggling in the same way with this! Doesn’t help that we now wear masks in public, and are even more anonymous. Good story, CG!
Thank you, Shoshauna, and apologies for the late reply. I was visiting with a friend (at social distance), and she said she’d gone through an amber light while a police car sat nearby. I joked that she must want someone to talk to. Then I thought, That’s a story. Obviously great minds think alike!
