The Cold Morning Sun Rises

“Hey, have I told you about the sci-fi book I’m writing? It’s set in the coolest solar system ever. The main characters live on a lava planet which is kept cool by the rays of an icy anti-sun.”

“…You can’t be serious.”

“And there are secret cloned laser cyborg aliens.”

This story is based on the title suggested by @Yax.

  1. I like this because it went in a completely different direction from what I imagined when I came up with the title suggestion.

After reading this, I thought it would be fun to try my hand at writing one as well. This is what I came up with.

“The sun finally crested the horizon. Allen blinked. Light. It wasn’t much, but it was something. He shivered and struggled to his feet. How much farther? He hesitated. It would be easier to give up.

No. She had died for him; he had to try. He headed towards the sunrise.”

So yeah, different directions. Also, I much prefer comedy to drama, (and I also enjoy sci-fi) so I prefer yours, Tim.

  2. I really enjoy the idea of a frozen sun being used to cool down a lava planet. If I ever do sci-fi of any sort with different planets ‘n’ shit I’ma include that
