His hands nailed to the walls
His feet in cement
His soul behind bars
Two kids entangled
Dreams broken, now nightmares
She drinks tea and smiles
She contemplates
Her next delicious move
Currents cross the room
His silent thoughts whisper
Freedom
Virtue answers
She leaves
But he still loves her
Patrick Yu aspires to write. He realizes he tends to touch on the darker sides of things. Maybe that will change.
I’m in love with this story. It actually summed up my life in a nutshell. What a beautiful way of expressing a relationship gone sour. At least that’s how I interpreted it. I’m packing as we speak. I’ll leave this story on the table when I leave. Thank you, Patrick.
(If you noticed, my response is a 50 word story. Clever, huh?!)
Sorry I read your comment so late April, thank you for the kind words, yes it was about a love gone sour, I have not yet read your story, but I will, take care.
Patrick
Doh :) your response was 50 words, my bad :)
I’m always curious to know if we interpret a writer’s words accurately. Thanks for confirming! I’m submitting again in December. I haven’t been selected yet. I’m anxious to share my stories. Wish me luck next month! Is there a way to set up my own website on here? Do you know?
To get posted on this site you have to submit a story, just keep trying, good luck with next month:)
