“I dare you.” Three words and you could make me do anything.
“I’m not afraid.”
Inside, shouting, our voices echo. Brothers, best pals in the world.
A noise spooks us; running home.
We stop and you laugh.
You’ve lost that cap you always wore. I’m not going back for it.
Fraser never did get his hat back, but it looked stupid anyway. Sometimes David wishes they were still best pals in all the world.

Reminds me of a story when a forger hid inside a gallery for three months. When he finished, he realised that he had left his favourite beret behind. He wrote to the caretaker to have it returned; even sent them the return postage. He’s still doing time for trespass but they still can’t verify if the Rembrandt is genuine or a forgery!
I’m glad you liked it.
By the way theirs a really good 50 word story hiding in your post. Go for it girl!
