It’s a question you could ponder for a long while. Personally, I think he’s looking at fairies. Or maybe the fairies are spying on the witches, right?
It’s a wicker basket and inside is a dead fairy. The midwives are looking for the toadstool… thereby stands the punchline for someone else to complete.
It’s not nice to spy on people, especially people with toadstools.Voyeurism. I also don’t think it’s legal to bury fairies unless they are dead. It’s only one opinion, mind.
