Let me tell you what insanity is.
It’s remembering a conversation with someone you met on the train forty years ago. It’s seeing her expression as you got off without asking for her number. It’s driving to her station for a week and not finding her. It’s having stopped looking.
Robert Markovich spent a lifetime in what is charitably referred to as service journalism, writing and editing stories about everything from cars to toilets, most recently at Consumer Reports. He is happily and gratefully retired.
Really like this story; nice work.
Nice work, Bob.
Dad
Nice story. Bob.
All too true I’m afraid. Glad you liked it …
Great story.
I love this ❤
What a perception, great. Loved it. :)
My favourite story from that page!
An interesting definition of insanity . For me, the story is about missing out on something wonderful in life that can drive you crazy… What I like about “Bonkers” is the fact the story is told without past tenses, only by giving the definition of the word insanity.
Cool story neatly packed into a 50-word box!
btw Did you by chance go to high school in Maryland?
