We looked like twins, but:
I read Nancy Drew; she broke her leg falling off a “borrowed” bike.
I baked cakes; she climbed out her bedroom window.
I played with Barbie dolls; she smoked cigarettes at eleven.
I wasn’t shocked when my sister fell into a sewer.
I was envious.

My twin brothers: One who just retired after completing his career as a prison guard; the other just finished his 11th year of his 25 years-to-life sentence for murder. (True, Sad, but true)
Ron, thank you for commenting on my work. I’m very sorry to hear about how your one brother’s life has turned out. I wanted to set the record straight for my sister’s sake. After causing some more trouble, dropping out of high school, etc., she went on to get her GED, and then her BS and Masters’ while she was raising three children and became a wonderful teacher in an inner city school. Today she’s the best retired nana to 6 kids.
I love this story, thank you!
I love this story of you two.❤️
Well written, good detail, evoked feelings
