There is so much you seem to be missing from this story.
Starting from the fact that it is a scifi story that passes the Bechdel test to the revelation that the title works on at least three levels: literal (fried chicken), pun-related (chicken eggs) and metaphorical (chickening out).
Think twice before being mean.
