When the game comes on, my friends know not to call.
I love cheering on the players and yelling at the TV. All part of the fan experience; a true American institution.
Throw in some snacks and I’m set.
It all kicks off with three simple words.
This… is… Jeopardy!
Lisa Chambers is a Texas girl who enjoys writing (and watching Jeopardy).
Love the twist on expectation here! (Also, I love Jeopardy and hate sports, so this resonates.)
Thanks, Casey!
Excellent as always. 👍😍
Thanks, Julie!
The ending was a surprise and I like surprise endings. Well done.
Thank you, Therese!
Ha ha, Lisa, thanks for the great ending. Didn’t expect that, and so fun!
Thank you, Jenise! 🙂
Well, this old geezer who hasn’t missed many Jeopardies since since EVEN BEFORE Alex T was host (yikes!) loved this work so much that he felt compelled to read it aloud to His Beloved Sandra, who has become, over the decades of consorting, also enjoyed it tremendously.
Thank you so much for brightening my afternoon. I’d post an even longer comment, but I gotta get settled in: Jeopardy at 7:00.
Salute
Ron, thank you so much for your comment. It made my day. I’m glad you enjoyed my little story. I do love the show that much!
I was doubly surprised until I got to the final word. I loved this, Lisa. And I share your sentiments. What a wonderful program!
Hi, Susan. Thank you!!
Sounds like my friend Ginevra! I don’t think she’d miss the game even if the world was ending. This made me laugh, wonderfully done Lisa!
Aw, thanks for your comment, L!
