Three days, four hours, twenty minutes…
Two books (one science fiction, one fantasy).
Three crossword puzzles and an adult coloring book.
The house is clean.
I’ve rolled all my coins.
Remote control hastily picked up (and put back down): seven times.
Finally, a beep: power and wi-fi have been restored!

Great story! And I feel guilty about all of the wasted time I spent at home this past year!
It’s a lesson for all!
Loved this story, Alyce! Made me chuckle😆
Vivid and comical description of life without electricity! 😄
My how we grow to be so dependent on items of convenience that end up driving us nuts when not working lol. Good job👍🏾
Thank you all for reading and commenting. So glad you enjoyed it!
I enjoyed this amusing story. How sweet it is to pick up your remote and watch the same movie you’ve already seen at least five times. But, without electrical power, it seems like s star-trek journey through the outer limits of the twilight zone.
The real struggles of empty time on our hands. I have never thought about all of the little things we do to waste time 😉.
